Job Summary::Do you enjoy monitoring students with learning and mastering clinical skills to meet the oral health needs of a diverse group of patients? KVCC has an opportunity that might interest you.
The supervising dentist's primary responsibilities are also in the areas of instruction and remediation, especially for the assessment of oral abnormalities, radiographic interpretations, local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration. The supervising dentist needs to be available to our dental hygiene faculty, students, and patients for consultations, supervision, and to make referrals as needed. As indicated by a patient's medical or dental history, the supervising dentist will need to prescribe medications, (i.e., fluorides, antimicrobial and occasional antibiotics for dental hygiene therapy). In addition to these responsibilities, supervising dentist will find themselves performing as role models for students and public relations personnel with patients.
DDS or DMD is required.
Dentist licensed within the state of Michigan or eligible for Michigan licensure.
A strong commitment to education, service and professional growth in Dental Education. Communication and leadership skills needed to work with faculty and staff as a team.
Work Hours::Clinical hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.
