Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 60+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Dresch Dental Lab in Sylvania, Ohio for a Dental Laboratory Technician I (Denture). Previous experience is not necessary; we offer paid, hands-on training!

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
  • Bead and Pour impressions
  • Base models
  • Trim models
  • Set bites
  • Articulate models
  • Make duplicate models
  • Review final work and check completely that all quality standards have been met before passing the work to the next technician.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required: 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong ability to read, listen, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions
  • High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members during the buyer-seller transactions as well as communicating to members of the technical support team, members of management, and the training team
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve using past experience and successes to gauge best steps for future cases
Minimum Education and Experience Required: 
  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • No experience required
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
  • Sharp instruments, knives and blades
  • Motorized Lathe
  • Dental Handpiece
  • Butane Torch
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Repeated bending and kneeling
  • Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color
  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds
