Position Summary

Create technical design documents to support production of Electrical Distribution Division (EDD) Products.
Essential Functions

• Responsible for maintaining revision control on all CAD files.
• Prepare drawings in collaboration with Application/Sales/Design Engineers.
• Take design concepts from engineering staff and create all design documents that fully specify the design intent and support the manufacture of the part.
• Prepare both electrical and mechanical design documents.
• Make recommendations to improve product cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Work with production personnel (both EDD and vendor) to resolve design issues.
• Create drawing files and keep them updated according to Company procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in drafting or related technical field with minimum 5 years' experience in a custom manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience.
• Developed knowledge of 3D modeling CAD packages.
• Developed skills in both mechanical and electrical drawing practices.
• Computer literate with emphasis on MS Office.
