Looking to add a Sr DevOps engineer to our growing team!
What You Will Be Doing " Design and build a globally distributed hybrid infrastructure with an emphasis on high-stakes security and correctness
" Architect and manage secure, scalable infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes to support our external and internal use cases
" Design, build and maintain tooling and services to improve the efficiency and reliability of our Kubernetes platform and enable users to confidently run their services on our infrastructure
" Develop tools to enable other engineers such as CI/CD pipelines, container schedulers, and custom applications
" Develop and improve testing and automation processes in order to reduce operational burden
" Manage AWS services - EKS, AWS Shield, RDS, IAM, etc.
" Debug complex problems between application layers and low-level infrastructure
" Find the right balance between progress (i.e. shipping quickly) and perfection (i.e. measuring twice)
" Foster an efficient deterministic testing culture, with an emphasis on minimizing tech debt and bureaucracy
" Influence architecture/product roadmap
" Work with and support off-shore teams, a major component of the overall setup
What You Need for this Position " Bachelor's Degree
" 8+ years of relevant professional experience
" Must have 5+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS) and automation experience
" Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience working with EKS, containerization, troubleshooting, tuning
" Must have 5+ years of experience in building CI/CD pipelines
" Must have hands-on experience and willingness for scripting using Python, bash
" Specific experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including VPC, EC2, Network, ELB, EBS, EMR, Redshift, RDS, and IAM is required
" Proven experience with DevOps procedures and processes and with working in an Agile environment
" Must be able to provide operational support for production incidents which can be outside of regular work hours
" Knowledge of core Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking, and storage
" Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for small, medium scale and enterprise-level applications
" Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration and performance tuning of cloud environments
" Experience involving microservices deployment and support
" Experience with configuring software-defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs
" Experience with troubleshooting very complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity and application performance and monitoring tools and offering high-level strategic planning and advice to an entity that will allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services
" Must be a team player and a pragmatic individual who understands that infrastructure is meant to support and enable business
" Certifications on Amazon Web Services (including Solutions Architect, Developer) are a big plus
" Kafka management experience and building solutions using the messaging platform is a big plus
