SARSTEDT, Inc. , a leading manufacturer and distributor of laboratory consumables, medical devices, and instruments located in Newton, NC, has an employment opportunity for a Diagnostic Account Manager in the Customer Relations Department. The Diagnostic Account Manager will be responsible for assisting the Manager - Diagnostic Business Development with operational duties, providing customer support for quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales of SARSTEDT's medical products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

  • Work directly with the Manager - Diagnostic Business Development to achieve sales goals.
  • Demonstrate and promote SARSTEDT's diagnostic product line with a focus on the blood collection systems, identifying growth opportunities and driving sales.
  • Perform and analyse correlation studies, while training existing and potential customers.
  • Successfully address customer complaints and resolve problems as needed.
  • Attends trade shows and conferences to represent SARSTEDT, Inc. and to promote the company's diagnostic product line.
  • Assist and support other sales team members.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of SARSTEDT's medical product lines.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements:

  • Minimum qualifications-Associates Degree in nursing or medical laboratory technology with one to two years' experience in a clinical environment or in sales of medical supplies. Preferred-Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Laboratory Science from a four-year college or university and one to two years' experience in a clinical environment.
  • Experience in medical sales is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales reports, graphs and data.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, employees and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic advanced algebra.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
