Shop Personnel Job Descriptions/Responsibilities:
Trailer preventive maintenance technician will work cross-functionally across multiple areas of the garage, responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing routine preventive maintenance repairs on trailers, performing emergency mechanical or electrical failures. Must be able to diagnose and repair brake and wheel end failures on trailers. Must be able to perform structural welding, cutting task, DOT inspections, and be 608 certified. Must be able to perform all repairs on trailer's refrigeration unit and have a mastery knowledge of the working for a refrigeration unit.

Able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned equipment and the ability to effectively communicate with all transportation personnel including managers, drivers, and clerks.
Must be able to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and schematics. Along with basic math skills are necessary to perform these tasks at a satisfactory level.
Basic computer skills will be necessary to document information, process daily work orders, and complete required documentation.
Trailer tech may be required to perform service calls on equipment at remote locations, a current valid driver's license is required.
