JOB SUMMARY

The Digital IT Asset Management Analyst provides support for IT assets in all stages of the asset lifecycle. This involves working with all departments and understanding the procuring, receiving, deployment of and disposal of IT assets as well as ensuring compliance of all software assets. Position also participates in business process review efforts that are under the direction of the Digital Operations, in order to improve processes related to inventory tracking and reporting. This position is also responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures related to IT assets and keeping all related policies and procedures up-to-date.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all new hardware or software purchases and licensing information that validates compliance are tracked and entered into our software compliance tool. On a daily basis, ensure that our software compliance tool is up-to-date with proper naming conventions and that our software is compliant with entitlements.
  • Ensures the security of all IT assets including hardware and software by monitoring and enforcing all asset related security policies and procedures.
  • Provides continued support for and user education to support the security, reliability and resilience of IT assets in production.
  • Is a champion of digital security at TTX
  • Maintain IT Asset Management and IT Vendor Management websites ensuring that current policies and procedures are published. Prepare monthly IT Asset Management and IT Vendor Management metrics for related websites, IT Playbook and IT Scorecard.
  • Develop into the subject matter expert on IT Asset Management and Software Compliance matters, including understand software subscriptions that are either on-site or in the Cloud.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to track IT related assets (e.g. routers, servers, printers, smartphones, etc.) and software, ensuring licensing compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficient organizational skills to ensure IT Asset Management and Software Compliance initiatives, including annual audits, are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Act as liaison among all departments to ensure the outlined IT Asset Management and Software Compliance processes are followed and system functionality is supported.
  • Confer with the manager regarding status and user departments to ensure accurate output and timeliness of assignments.
  • Other tasks as requested by the manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or three to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Asset Management, Vendor Management, Software Licensing, including software subscriptions, or IT procurement is beneficial.
  • Understanding of standard security policies and procedures related to the handling of IT assets.
  • Understands Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products with an emphasis in Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, and public groups.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Incumbent must show a strong sense of urgency, reliability and dedication. This position must understand the criticality of this position and be flexible to adjust the work schedule to ensure a timely solution.

General office environment; may require travel to Company locations and vendors. Travel areas can have a high volume of railroad traffic and requires being ambulatory, correctable hearing and visual capabilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit (remain stationary within work area) and use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach. The employee may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to move about (stand, walk). The employee must occasionally lift and/or transport up to 50 pounds. Correctable vision required for close, distance, and color vision capabilities. The typical work environment may include moderate noise (computers, printers, light traffic).
