The Digital eCommerce Associate Director of Software Engineering will lead a global team of managers and engineers focus on supporting and enhancing our eCommerce platform(s). We are looking for a technical leader with experience managing large scale complex enterprise platform projects. The Director will support the development group collaborating with application managers, solution architects, ERP, scrum masters, product owners, and project management to plan and resource projects accordingly. Application lifecycle activities including contract management, contract compliance, and meeting all relevant development standards will be the responsibility of the Director.

  • Digital eCommerce Associate Director of Software Engineering Responsibilities:
    • Manage Global eCommerce Software Development Managers and Engineers.
    • Ensure proper staffing, mandatory training and cross function training are complete.
    • Define and measure staff goals, OKR, execution performance, and performance improvements.
    • Continually look for process improvement opportunities in the team's way of working.
    • Help Plan and Execute Multi-year Strategic Technology roadmap.
    • Manage vendor/consultant relationships and SOW engagement.
    • Experience managing global operation and capital budget.
    • Work in an agile mindset and process.
    • Lead planning and implementation of cloud and on-premises enterprise applications across the globe.
    • Be a conduit for communication and alignment between different IT technical teams.
    • Mentor Managers and Engineers personal growth.
  • About the Candidate:
    • Bachelors/Master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
    • 10+ years of experience managing complex eCommerce Environments.
    • +5 years leading varying experience level engineering teams in different areas of expertise in multiple global locations.
    • Experience managing managers and teams of at least 25+ people
    • Experience with Agile methodology and software development using Scrum.
    • Excellent leadership skills and able to deliver work products on time
    • Experience creating Strategic roadmaps and a record of success.
    • Experience working with Business stakeholders and clearly communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders
    • Experience communicating and presenting to executive leadership
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be customer centric
    • Background in full stack development following agile or SAFe methodologies.
    • Experience developing a production application using CI/CD for products end to end development.
    • Complete understanding of developing microservice based applications.
    • Strong understanding of web and web support technologies (OMS, CRM, CMS, DAM, PIM, ERP, Search).
    • SAP ERP and SAP PI Experience a plus
    • Experience in the Life Science industry a plus
