Position:

As Intuitive grows, we are looking for a Chief Editor to join our Brand and Creative team. Our multi-disciplinary team oversees brand strategy, design, multimedia production, content, social media, digital marketing, and project management.

This new position will drive alignment, consistency, and discipline across Intuitive’s brand communications and corporate messaging. This senior role will impact and influence a broad group of internal and agency partners and focus specifically on messaging and initiatives that have significant strategic and cross-functional impact.

As part of the Brand and Creative team within Global Corporate Marketing, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business including Executive Communications, Investor Relations, Global Public Affairs, Campaign Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, Internal Communications, and others. The Chief Editor will be responsible for deeply understanding the brand and brand narrative, mastering the Intuitive voice and tone, and driving consistency and clarity on key initiatives. You are comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced, highly matrixed global environment with evolving priorities, and are an experienced and effective communicator comfortable working with senior-level executives.

In this position, the ability to build relationships, influence thinking, and coach colleagues is essential. The Chief Editor will focus on clearly and compellingly framing content, based on strategic goals and brand positioning, and building cross-functional and global alignment to drive content excellence. You will work closely with the company’s content team to set consistent expectations, build skills, review and tune work, advise, coach, and inspire those most responsible for content creation at Intuitive. You will be a connector between our clinical, regulatory, and legal reviewers and content producers, helping evolve and drive alignment on language use. You’ll help us codify, track, and oversee development of processes, tools, and trackers to amplify, scale, and measure this work. In the past, you’ve developed your reputation as a strong collaborator, connector, communicator, and team-builder driving disciplined processes that yield remarkable outcomes. This role is both player and coach: excellent writing, editing and communications skills and a portfolio of high-impact work are essential.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Build awareness and understanding of guidelines across business partners (internally and externally).
  • Collaborate with core team and align business to a corporate editorial calendar to facilitate a clear process, aligned touchpoints, and cadence of activities to drive core messages.
  • Consult with stakeholders and mediate questions regarding application of brand and editorial guidelines.
