Waystar is currently searching for a Director of Content to drive company growth through engaging and strategic content. In this role, you will determine the marketing team's content strategy and vision in line with the company's priorities, from the big picture down to the most detailed execution.

The Director of Content will work to raise awareness of Waystar in the market as well as to generate demand, drive conversions, foster client and partner relationships, and uplift Waystar's internal culture. You will pitch, plan and produce content for all audiences and channels.

We are looking for someone who challenges the accepted ways of doing things, while cheerfully executing and fine-tuning once the team has decided on a direction. This role requires a dyed-in-the-wool writer and marketer who is both creative and analytical.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the steward of the Waystar brand voice from a content perspective
  • Lead the content team and take ultimate responsibility for all content timelines, projects and outcomes
  • Write and evolve all content for the company website, working with our external agency to balance SEO best practices with relevant, compelling copy
  • Develop the copy assets to support campaigns, including email, landing pages, print + digital ads, PowerPoint presentations and video, blog posts and more
  • Oversee Waystar's social media handles, including paid + organic social media marketing
  • Along with Demand Gen and Creative Team leads, optimize project + process management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments, including the executive team, Product Marketing + Commercialization, Sales, People Team, Client Success and more.
  • Work closely with our external PR agency and the Waystar executive team to produce press releases, media placements, executive bylines, award applications and more
  • Manage and collaborate with other content agencies, partners and vendors
  • Support the Waystar events team
  • Support the People Team and CEO on high-level internal communications initiatives

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years experience in marketing with an emphasis on copywriting, preferably in B2B
  • Management experience a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, tech or payments a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in English, marketing or similarly applicable area
  • Ability to collaborate within and across teams, communicating clearly and respectfully
  • Ability to present creative work to executive team
  • Loves to write copy and wrestle appealing turns of phrase out of technical content
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, switching gears quickly as needed
  • Ability to manage, delegate and execute long-term projects
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive feedback
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Experience with Marketo and content management systems a plus
  • Knowledge of social media best practices
