The Opportunity: Director, Facility Operations and Support ServicesWhy This Role Is ImportantAs a member of the iCare management team reporting to the Vice President, Real Estate and Innovation, the Manager, Facility Operations and Support Services will provide oversight and leadership for ambulatory and urgent care facility operations across the New England area, coordinate support services including security and food service, and ensure excellent patient staff experience. This role will coordinate internal, and vendor provided services at over 15 locations in and around the Greater Boston area. The director will have the unique opportunity to participate in the development of operations at several new ambulatory sites that will include multi-specialty clinics, major imaging and ambulatory surgery services. As the number of sites grows, the director will build an internal team to support various activities, in addition to managing vendor provided services.
Qualifications About You
- 8-10 years of healthcare facility maintenance and/or construction management experience in a healthcare setting required
- Bachelor's Degree in facilities management / engineering / architecture or similar required, advanced degree ideal
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in facilities equipment and systems operation (chillers, steam boilers, hydronic systems, building controls, electrical, and air handlers) in a health care institution required
- Experience managing facilities maintenance activities, planning, and directing programs to maintain the physical environment
- Knowledge of healthcare accreditation, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
- Candidates must have broad knowledge of TJC Standards, AAAHC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other government, state and local regulatory agencies standards
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrable experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration with clinical, quality and safety stakeholders
- Excellent customer service and patient satisfaction orientation
- Strong communication and relationship skills to operate in a matrixed environment
- Ability to pre-empt and address healthcare facility operations needs in a prompt manner
