Job Description and Responsibilities


 
Pennoni is currently looking for a Director of Civil Engineering with experience consistent, but not limited to:

• Performing and/or supervising all aspects of project efforts
  
• Assisting in proposal preparation and involvement with client relations
  
• Overseeing and mentoring the junior engineering staff
  
• Quality assurance and quality control of projects
  
• Fostering existing and developing new client relationship
  

Required Attributes: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  
• 12+ years related experience
  
• Q
  ualifications include a PE with experience in site work, design, grading, erosion control, water and sanitary sewer systems and public street design.
  
  
• Strong experience in stormwater management, design of stormwater piping systems, retention/detention, BMP’s, and FEMA flood studies is desired.
  
• Candidate should have experience in local government approval processes for preliminary and final site plans and construction drawings.
  
• Candidate must have the ability to present projects to local governmental authorities and governing boards.
  
• Experience with State DOT Standards for roadways, storm piping and utilities a plus as well as experience with Civil 3D.
  

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with VDOT and WVDOH Standards a plus
  
  
• A Virginia PE (additional West Virginia PE a plus)
  
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently within a group setting
