The Director of Corporate Communications is primarily responsible for managing the external reputation of InterSystems, including development and execution of a strategic external communications plan for social and traditional media, regular engagement with industry news media, message development to drive proactive positive news opportunities, issues management, content marketing and syndication, and executive communications.

The Corporate Communications Director regularly provides strategic communications counsel to senior management and is expected to have clear recommendations that are based upon prior experience and from gaining consensus from key internal stakeholders.

• Reports to Vice President of Marketing
• Develop strategies and plans for effective media and analyst relations programs and execute the campaigns and tasks within those plans
• Oversee global industry analysts and build analyst relationships to ensure we are effectively "influencing the influencers"
• Manage company product ratings and industry analyst reports including Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, etc.
• Oversee press releases, working closely with internal and external subject matter experts, and ensure our press releases secure all corporate approvals and meet PR industry standards for quality and professionalism
• Develop presentations, briefings and talking points to support media and analyst relations
• Interpret and synthesize content and share knowledge and insight with product management and marketing departments
• Oversee and guide communication efforts in other international regions

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of experience including demonstrated success in senior-level public relations and analyst relations.
• Writing experience, particularly for executives, for social media, and for traditional media
• Demonstrated interest and competency in making complex issues/ideas easy to understand
• Deep understanding of healthcare and/or database technology issues and how to take advantage of opportunities for the company
• Experience working with the analyst and media community in the healthcare and/or database technology sectors
• Proven success interacting with all levels, including C-suite executives
• Ability to quickly and accurately deliver to key media outlets
• Professional presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and develop staff
• Demonstrated experience directing and working within multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience managing vendor relationships
