Summary and Essential Duties

We're looking for a Director of Partnership Marketing to join our passionate, sales driven and entrepreneurial team. The Director of Partnership Marketing will be responsible for providing trade marketing and supplier marketing annual plans to increase Broadline Foodservice sales and accelerate market share growth. This position will collaborate between Branch Marketing, Branch Sales Leadership, Category Management, Innovation, Sales Operations and executive leadership to drive and gain alignment with marketing initiatives, support the branch sales teams, and develop plans to generate supplier income. In addition, they will manage and ensure we have strong relationships with the broker network. The ideal candidate is proactive with strong sales and negotiation skills, has the ability to work in a cross functional environment to deliver results, and harnesses leadership skills to help drive sales growth. Essential Duties:

  • Lead the development of the annual Foodservice trade marketing plan to ensure we are driving growth and taking share. This includes the development of the annual enterprise budget and working with branches to align on local marketing spend.
  • Develop Supplier Marketing strategy to drive marketing income. Lead in the selling of the program.
  • Lead in the development of an annual sales promotion plan to ensure goals and objectives are met for Foodservice both at the enterprise and with the Branches.
  • Work with leadership to develop best in class sales meetings to ensure all goals and objectives are being met. This includes ensuring Branches are aligned with enterprise initiatives and plans.
  • Drive event sponsorships for supplier and customer events throughout the year.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Broker network to ensure we are supporting sales growth.
  • Work with Category Management to ensure alignment on category and branch objectives.
  • Support sales and profit growth annual budgets to include Broadline and National Accounts
  • Manage an enterprise marketing team that supports the trade marketing initiative, monitoring and reporting, as well as assist in management of the Branch Marketing Managers to ensure alignment across enterprise strategies.
Qualifications:
  • BS preferred or 7 to 10 years' experience in trade marketing, foodservice marketing, etc.
  • Experience in working closely with sales teams to drive KPIs
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills
  • Foodservice experience a plus
  • Strong business acumen
  • Self-starter with a desire to roll up sleeves, managing competing priorities and work tactically
  • Experience in managing or supervising people
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think fast and react in a fast paced, results driven environment
  • Strategic influencing abilities
  • Strong technical aptitude with web-based tools and intermediate to advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams at multiple skill levelsExcellent project management skills
