Job Summary

The Director of IT Governance / PMO will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive IT governance framework and project management office (PMO). The position will be responsible for ensuring that all IT initiatives align with the company's overall business strategy, and that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an IT governance framework that supports the company's strategic goals and objectives
  • Lead the development and implementation of an SDLC; from Demand Planning through Release Management
  • Lead quarterly planning and ensure that all IT initiatives are properly scoped, planned, and resourced to meet business requirements
  • Monitor and report on project status, progress, and risks to key stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain project management processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistent and effective delivery of IT initiatives
  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT governance and Solutions teams
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the IT governance and PMO processes and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT governance, project management, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, project management methodologies, and IT risk management
  • Experience in implementing and managing an SDLC
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Experience in the building materials industry or related field is preferred
  • Certifications in IT governance and project management (e.g. Agile, COBIT, PMP) are preferred
