St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

St. Christopher's has more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, combining top-notch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the only Verified Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. Responsibilities

T he Director of Professional Development is responsible to set the standards of nursing practice throughout the Department of Nursing. This includes ensuring that policy/procedures reflect current practice; practice is evidenced-based on current and appropriate research. Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies and corporate and organizational policy/procedures. Implements and evaluates customer service initiatives. Develops performance improvement strategies to enhance employee and patient satisfaction, positive patient outcomes, to meet and exceed revenue targets, and maximize revenues and drive down costs. The Director of Professional Development is responsible for all continuing education activities according to the standards of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association.

Qualifications

Training & Education: MSN required

Experience: Demonstrated experience suitable for the position is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility: Matrix management of RN Educators with their clinical director.

Required Licenses: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure
