Administers and manages the day-to-day operations of the Witness Theater Program, a unique, intergenerational project. Oversees department budget, ensures provision of services, implements and maintains health and safety standards, and supervises a team of staff to provide a high standard of services associated with the program to participants and the community at large.
1. Manages program according to agency and funders’ guidelines, and reports on program’s activities to Managing Director and VP of Holocaust Survivor Program. Develops, implements and maintains departmental projects, policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and environmental standards.
2. Selects, orients and trains department staff and consultants.
3. Develops, recommends and monitors program operating budget in consultation with managing director and VP.
4.Conducts monthly supervisory meetings to staff at each site, and provides ongoing oversight to social work and consultant staff.
5.Develops and disseminates program materials, such as recruitment and promotional flyers.
6. Identifies opportunities and develops partnerships in the community to continue and expand the reach of the program.
7.With other site staff, identifies and screens Holocaust survivors and students for participation in the program.
8.Participates in weekly sessions and rehearsals at several program sites. Provides social work support directly to clients at sites’ weekly meetings and between sessions when necessary. Communicates with HSP social work staff about their participating clients.
9.Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings at each site and attends Directors’ meetings and other Selfhelp managerial meetings and trainings, via Zoom or other technologies as necessary. Shares all relevant information with staff.
10. With project and site staff, ensures coordination of final performance logistics and all administrative tasks.
11.Works with funders and Selfhelp staff on fundraising opportunities within the program.
12. Tracks and provides data for grant funding and other reports as requested.
13.Represents the organization with funding sources and other individuals, agencies and organizations, and at community meetings, committees and inter-agency councils. Assists with requests from community partners for media, speakers, and other information, to raise awareness about the needs of Holocaust survivors.
14.Participates in interdepartmental programs and projects. Collaborates with other departments to ensure optimum client care and implement agency-wide goals. Assists with requests for HSP educational initiatives and requests from External Affairs and Development.
15.Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including – but not limited to – Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regard to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
16. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
17. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regard to absenteeism, appearance and health and safety protocols
