Purpose

This position is responsible for directing all financing, accounting, reporting, planning and administration activities within Vineyard Wind (VW). Primarily, this role will be in charge of financing, accounting, financial reporting, annual budgeting and reporting of business performance, forecasting processes and internal control for VW. This position will coordinate with Senior Management to ensure all Controls are in compliance to ensure objectives and goals are achieved across all lines of business, while complying with the provisions of the Vineyard Wind shareholders agreement. Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of Control strategies across all of VW.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing stakeholder external Financial Reporting requirements and for the elaboration of the JV audited financial statements for VW.
  • Responsible for financing arrangements, including oversight of teams in supporting of arranging financing, modifications to financing and monitoring of agreements.
  • Directs the monthly financial reporting along with communication of results to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Manages the relationship with External Auditor.
  • Responsible for documentation of, oversight of, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Directs the internal controls process across VW.
  • Responsible for the annual budgeting process, forecast updates, and the long-term planning.
  • Develop, maintain, and direct financial analysis as it relates to ad-hoc requests and/or ongoing objectives.
  • Responsible for oversight of Administration activities including invoice booking and payment processing.


  • Skills and Requirements

    Education & Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Master's degree preferred. CPA preferred.
    • A minimum of 10 years' experience in power and/or utility accounting.
    • Accounting or financial experience in a management role required.
    • Experience in preparation or audit of financial statements required.
    • Experience in financial modelling required.
    • Experience in financing arrangements required.
    • Significant experience with internal controls of financial reporting required.
    • Public accounting/auditing firm experience preferred.

    Skills/Abilities:
    • Strong oral, written, and presentation related communication skills.
    • Strong Customer Service Orientation.
    • High level analytical, organizational, communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to coordinate, focus and direct employees in analyzing complex problems, formulating the optimum solutions from various alternatives and implementing courses of action.

    • Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.
