Job Summary: We're looking for an engineering leader who wants to have a big impact shaping an innovative and meaningful B2B SaaS solution that helps customers have more meaningful conversations. This role is based out of our Seattle office but is 100% remote as needed.

The Director of Product Engineering will be directly responsible for the growth and execution of the engineering team as we move into the next phase of product expansion at Flowroute. This role reports to the VP of Engineering but would work closely with key leaders in the product and design organizations.

The Director of Product Engineering will:

• Recruit and manage individual engineers and other engineering managers
• Maintain modern software engineering best practices for new and existing platforms. Focus on key elements such as reusability, scalability, maintainability, and security
• Establish an inclusive and thoughtful team culture
• Mentor and coach to help engineers at all levels hit their career goals
• Execute a disciplined agile methodology and process by working closely with the product managers, architects, and other cross-functional stakeholders to translate overall product portfolio requirements into well-designed and functional resources
• Participating in development processes includes scoping, detailed design, estimation, coding, testing, debugging, maintenance and support
• Own departmental efforts, team activities, and projects to ensure quality and efficiency of work.
• Be hands on as needed to help unblock team members and regularly conduct code reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
• Minimum five years of experience in software development or software development life cycle methods.
• Minimum three years management experience in software development, software development life cycle methods, or managing software quality assurance teams required.
• Minimum 5 years knowledge of one or more of the following languages is required: Python, C/C++, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Minimum 5 years knowledge of one or more software configuration and quality management tools required (e.g., Git/GitHub, Jira, Trello, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Unix/Linux platforms required

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with Python, C/C++
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Linux, SIP, SMPP, Kamailio
• Experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift)
• 3 years of working experience with AWS
• 10 years of Agile software development
