JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Radiology will plan, organize, and direct the day to day activities and functions of the Department of Radiology including responsibility for sound financial practice and all activities relative to staffing, work assignments, hiring/termination, performance reviews, orientation, and professional development. The Director of Radiology will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provisions of 24/7 services in compliance with the mission of the Business.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
 -  Provide leadership, oversight, direction, organization and daily management in the coordination of the activities of a multidisciplinary team, including clerical, nursing, and technical activities such that Baylor Scott and White Health policies and procedures are followed while providing continuous and constructive feedback to staff and leadership.
 -  Create an environment that fosters high morale, employee satisfaction, and loyalty. Establish employee satisfaction scores using prescribed metrics while fostering staff engagement of the Baylor Scott and White Health mission and vision.
 -  Assure that all imaging operations are managed within budget. Identify opportunities to streamline costs and improve operational efficiency and maintain a cost effective system of inventory control that does not jeopardize patient care.
 -  Foster and environment that uses Lean and Quality Improvement Processes to continuously improve patient care services. In conjunction with Radiology Medical Staff leadership, identify and engage work teams to explore new ideas for quality improvement.
 - Collaborate with Clinical Managers to communicate service excellence and patient centeredness expectations and customer satisfaction survey results. Act as a liaison to other Baylor Scott and White Healthcare departments.  Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with Physicians, and other medical center departments in order to gather and exchange information, develop and implement solutions to problems and improve services provided.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Bachelors or Equivalent Exp

- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 5 years experience required
