Overview

The Director of Skilled Nursing is a registered professional nurse who provides leadership and management of Twin Fountains Home. Located just east of downtown LaGrange and only minutes from Interstate 85, Twin Fountains Home is a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified facility with award-winning staff and services.

With 116 beds, Twin Fountains is classified as a skilled nursing and skilled-bed facility, staffed by well-trained, experienced professionals committed to providing quality care for those entrusted to our watch. Additionally, it offers skilled rehabilitation services with a full-time physical therapist and a part-time occupational therapist on staff.

The Director of Skilled Nursing oversees approximately 70 FTEs, reports to the Skilled Nursing Administrator and partners with nursing leadership, hospital vice presidents, medical staff and other departments to create a center of excellence to meet or exceed the hospital's mission, vision and goals.
Qualifications

Required Minimum Education

  • Associate's Degree in nursing (ASN) is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related business field is preferred.

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; including 3+ of progressive operational leadership in an assistant manager or manager role, required. Experience with long term care or skilled nursing is strongly preferred.
Required Minimum Skills
  • Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building;
  • a knowledge of the health care environment;
  • leadership that includes such skills as successfully implementing and managing a change process - ability to use systems thinking- and inspire, coach others to be successful;
  • model the way for professional practice;
  • professionalism and teamwork/collaboration for self/department/medical staff;
  • and possess necessary business skills to manage human and material resources.
  • Must be a continuous learner who understands health care financing;
  • strategy and operations for running a business unit(s);
  • and effectively employ data and technology to support work processes and make decisions.
  • Supports shared governance or shared decision making;
  • manage the design and delivery of care that in based on evidence and focused on quality and safety.
  • Knowledge of risk management and various accreditation/regulations/licensing requirements assuring that these are upheld while advancing industry standards through the achievement of goals by effective management and measurement of outcomes.
