Commercial Lines State Management defines the operational infrastructure to support the launch of various commercial auto products nationwide in the evolving mobility sector. Responsibilities include risk management, state-specific profitable growth management, strategic partnership management, operational efficiency, seamless delivery of products, broker/MGU appointment, and management, go-to-market launch strategies.
Essential responsibilities
Develop the operating, strategic and financial plans and be the primary point of contact for assigned strategic partner/product; leads the execution of approved plans
Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key participants
Facilitate the prioritization of product and system enhancements, defects, state rollout including pricing, operations, underwriting, marketing, IT, legal/compliance, claims, and communicate with external partners (MGUs, brokers, clients) to form a consensus on and prioritize needed actions
Develop appropriate go-to-market launch strategies with various distribution channels in collaboration with marketing, customer experience, billing, and operations.
Manage sales performance, lead generation, and compliance to regulations with the assigned distribution partners and states
Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for executives
Collaborate with Underwriting, product development, and claims teams to manage the financial performance in the assigned markets
See opportunities to fine-tune the product design, pricing, underwriting guidelines, operational processes, and billing approaches from the countrywide product design to tailor to a market and/or a strategic partner
What would make us excited about you
Required
Demonstrated P&L accountability and oversight in Commercial Auto State Management business function.
Demonstrated experience building and developing strategic partnerships and leading large complex projects or programs with a cross-divisional impact toward intended results
Expert knowledge of financial drivers of profitability and proven ability to build and sustain profitability-based product and marketing strategies
Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting facts and data, including financial information, in a way that can lead to actionable conclusions
10+ years of demonstrated experience communicating to a broad range of audiences to review findings, arguments, options, risks, benefits, and other issues in a frame of reference that the audience can understand
Solid knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis and processes
Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in change management concepts and practices with demonstrated success in motivating and influencing others at all levels while driving towards results
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
10 + years experience in managing or developing evolving mobility products is a plus
7 years managing commercial line insurance products and pricing in varied and complex markets in the P&C insurance industry
5 years leading product management teams (or other related functions)
