Salary Range: 86000.00 - 141800.00 Salary
Salary may vary based on location, years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with the Information Security Team and IT Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) and IT Applications Development team members to help develop the disaster recovery and business resiliency strategy and to set goals and objectives based on the defined strategy.
  • Implements and maintains processes and best practices to safeguard One Call's mission critical applications, infrastructure, and data.
  • Partners with and engages colleagues from other areas of the company in cyber and disaster recovery testing to certify that required application functionality is operating as expected.
  •  Responsible for building, maintaining, and ensuring the annual refresh of disaster cyber recovery playbooks, policies, and other related documentation.
  • Aligns with our Business Continuity, Technology & incident management teams on annual assessments that ensure recovery capabilities specified in BIAs (i.e., RTO, RPO) can be achieved along with driving the closure of all identified gaps.
  • Ensures that recovery strategies are aligned with business goals and meet defined recovery objectives as stated in BIAs.
  • Partners with the Business Continuity team to lead periodic Disaster Recovery catastrophic event tabletop exercises with IT and business staff to measure One Call's readiness posture. Identifies and leads improvement opportunities.
  • Participates in annual third party/partner certification including leading in Disaster Technology Recovery testing.
  • Establishes goals for improving Disaster Recovery and partner with peers on building plans to achieve them.
  • Communicates and escalates risks to business stakeholders for remediation or acceptance.
  • Ensures new systems meet DR requirements per assigned criticality. Ensures adherence to policies and standards as they pertain to DR.
  • Provides expert guidance to and coordinates the efforts of relevant Technology (infrastructure and application), Business, and other function leaders in developing, documenting, and validating recovery procedures & plans.
  • Effectively collaborate with Technology (infrastructure and application) and Security professionals in implementing sound disaster recovery related solutions.
  • Responsible for communicating status, strategic direction, and results of assigned work.
  • Inspires use of automation products to increase availability and improve business resiliency across the Enterprise.
  • Develop strong relationships with business, technology, and other business resiliency stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to both planning and incident response activities.
  • Build out efficient and scalable templates, systems, processes, and program metrics as required.
  • Assist with other activities as required to develop and maintain the Resiliency Program.
  • Responsible for fulfilling technology audits for respective technologies. Ensures compliance with technology standards, policies, and governance.
  • Familiarity with enterprise technologies, including compute, storage, database, middleware, virtualization, firewalls, VPN, networking, load balancers and public cloud.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Three (3) to five (5) or more years of relevant experience working in disaster recovery, cyber, or business continuity.
  • Certification from DRII or BCI or similar a plus.
  •  Advance knowledge and understanding of industry standards on disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, including NIST and ISO 22301/27031.

 

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques, technologies and best practices, methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses, as well as DR capabilities in the Cloud or on-premises environment.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in delivering mission critical system availability and associated recovery techniques.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in infrastructure, application, and data recovery techniques.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to write policies, procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Experience setting strategy and providing guidance to IT and business staff preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, presentation, organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Able to influence and make recommendations to business partners at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to drive consensus and collaboration across diverse teams, individuals, and functional groups to achieve desired business results.
  • Knowledge of ITIL including change management, incident management and configuration management.
  • Ability to operate in a demanding environment.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills in order to effectively influence recommendations and decision-making, assess impacts, compare solutions, problem solve, and achieve business and/or technical objectives.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management.
  • Able to actively influence and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders to solve problems and ensure services are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to effectively influence across multiple teams, leaders, organizations, and/or enterprise as needed.
  • Able to exhibit the skills needed to be seen as a technical and process leader within the organization, independently resolves conflicts, and develops relationships outside the broader organization.
  • Familiarity with cyber threat recovery and resiliency concepts and efforts.
  • Experience with Castellan is a plus.
  • Willingness and flexibility to take on work in different areas where needed.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders to solve problems and ensure services are utilized effectively and efficiently.
