SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a Distribution Manager.

Summary

The Distribution Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to optimize our distribution channels within the life science and diagnostic industry. Leveraging expertise in channel management and business development, you will drive growth, expand market presence, and strengthen relationships with key partners. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the dynamics of the life science and diagnostic market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

Distribution Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive channel strategies to maximize market penetration, drive revenue growth, and achieve business objectives in alignment with the company's overall strategic goals.
Channel Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select strategic distribution partners based on their capabilities, market reach, and alignment with our product portfolio and target markets.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distribution partners, addressing their needs promptly and proactively to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Business Development:
  • Lead negotiations, contract management, and business planning with channel partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements, terms, and conditions that drive revenue growth and profitability for both parties.
Market Analysis and Insights:
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to identify new opportunities, emerging markets, and potential threats, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
Training and Enablement:
  • Develop and implement training programs, tools, and resources to educate channel partners on our products, services, and value proposition, enabling them to effectively promote and sell our solutions to customers.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to track the performance of channel partners, analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and optimize performance.
Collaboration and Alignment:
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product management, and customer support teams to ensure alignment of channel strategies with overall business objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
Participate in sales meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of innovative business solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering strategic guidance and insights.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in channel management, business development, or sales leadership roles, preferably in the life science, diagnostic, or healthcare industry.

Other requirements:

Proven track record of successfully developing and executing channel strategies, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with channel partners.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Strategic mindset with analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying market opportunities, evaluating risks, and developing actionable plans to achieve business objectives.

Deep understanding of distribution channels, partner ecosystems, and market dynamics within the life science and diagnostic industry.

Results-oriented with a focus on driving performance, meeting targets, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal teams, external partners, and customers at all levels.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant tools.

This is a hybrid or remote position, depending on location.
