Examples of Work
The State of Nebraska Probation is seeking a full-time Drug Technician (Female Only) to assists probation staff by conducting drug screens on supervised probation cases. Responsible for conducting drug/alcohol screens utilizing various sanctioned testing methodologies. Collecting and disposing of urine specimens. Maintaining accountability for specimen identification. Communicating on a regular basis with probation staff and documenting results of drug/alcohol testing for case files. Testifying in court regarding positive drug/alcohol screens. Collecting statistics pertaining to drug/alcohol screens for submission to the Administrative Office of Probation. Responsible for drug testing supplies and equipment inventory. Perform related work as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

PREFERRED: Prior substance abuse or chemical testing training and working with the offender population.

OTHER: Due to the duties for this specific position, only FEMALE candidates considered.
