Our client is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) delivering excellent service to U.S. Federal Government agencies. They support several Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies across the CONUS.

OVERVIEW

Full-time/Permanent Employee

Location: Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA

This position falls under the Enterprise Services Segment of the DCGS Management Center encompassing legacy architecture and Open Architecture constructs. A strong candidate should have Tier 3-level knowledge about Windows and Linux Operating Systems, SQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Identity Management Services, Elastic/Logstash/Kibana system monitoring software, and principles of account management in a least privilege environment. Experience in multiple classifications of systems is also required to include Secret and Top Secret enclaves.

The proposed salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Virtualize and automate the installation and distribution of a suite of intel analysis tools

• Automate continuous configuration management and system builds

• Automate patching and application deployments across multiple environments

• Deploy virtualized and automated system builds to multiple sites

• Ensure that the quality and function of deployed systems meets or exceeds customer expectations

• Ability to perform shift work to accommodate 24/7 Operations Schedule

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Clearance: TS/SCI
• Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience preferred
• Education: BA or BS (see below)

• Bachelor's degree should be in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• May substitute additional 5 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree or 1 year functional experience with a non-technical degree or successful completion of software development boot-camp

• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, specifically RHEL

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and VM technologies (VMware)

• Experience with production deployment, monitoring, and operational support

• Experience working with databases (i.e. SQL, MongoDB, Postgres, or any type of open-source database)?

• Systems automation and configuration management experience (Puppet)

• Application virtualization experience (e.g. Docker)

• A working knowledge of Internet Protocols (FTP, SSH, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS)

• Ability to work in a geographically distributed team environment and to utilize strong communication and documentation skills

• 8570 Compliant certificate is a must

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Red Hat Certified Engineer certification

• Shell scripting using bash

• Experience in Python, Perl, Ruby or equivalent
