OVERVIEW

Location:Remote

As a payroll and compliance analyst, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, give exceptional attention to detail, and is comfortable and efficient with managing many tasks at once. In this role, the candidate will take ownership of projects within EXPANSIA related to payroll, insurance, and employee benefits. The candidate will also take part in researching and implementing new insurance and 401K options as well as other compliance, employee related duties, and responsibilities such as onboarding and offboarding employees from EXPANSIA's ERP tools. The ideal candidate works well with others as they will need to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple teams across EXPANSIA.

The proposed salary range for this position is $57,900- $92,000 There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process payroll in a timely manner in accordance with company policy; reconcile payroll account balances (e.g. time sheets, direct deposits, wage attachments, benefits, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.).
  • Monitor payroll activities and program components for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established financial, legal, state, local, and administrative requirements.
  • Coordinate with multiple functional teams at EXPANSIA to meet specified payroll and/or compliance deadlines.
  • Administer 401(k) plan; verify, monitor, and maintain eligibility and enrollment lists and notices; monitor and control contribution processes and payroll withholding; monitor and verify legal notifications and compliance issues; assist in roll-over, loans, and other program documentation.
  • Monitor ERISA bond and track threshold/transition requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain corporate insurance policies; research and arrange for certificates of insurance; coordinate with senior leadership and provide recommendations for different insurance plans, rates, and specifications.
  • Engage with external providers for payroll, insurance, 401(k) plan provider, etc.
  • Participate in on-boarding and off-boarding of employees in EXPANSIA's enterprise systems (e.g., Unanet, Paylocity, etc.).
  • Monitor and keep employee changes up to date in EXPANSIA's enterprise systems.
  • Ensure synchronization of payroll data, inputs and information across EXPANSIA systems.
  • Participate in all duties, responsibilities, and requirements related to payroll, compliance, insurance, and employee benefits related to state and local laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clearance: Not Required
  • Years of Experience: 2-4 years of related experience with Bachelor's Degree or 6-8 years of related experience without a Degree.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interface with application providers, government agencies, and employees on the phone and electronically
  • Experience with financial responsibility in an enterprise setting
  • Familiarity with an ERP software suite and HR platform

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with Unanet ERP
  • Experience working with Paylocity as a Human Resource Platform
  • Familiar with national labor laws
  • Experience running payroll
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping/accounting concepts
