Our client, located in Huntsville, AL is looking for multiple Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to fulfill 12+ month contract positions.

Job Description

Our client is seeking motivated and talented Electrical and Mechanical Systems Design Engineer (Level 1-3) to join the Missiles and Weapon Systems (MWS) Electrical Engineering Team in Huntsville, Alabama. The Missiles and Weapons Systems (MWS) organization is dynamic and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions for National Defense and Strategic Deterrence. Position Responsibilities:

• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Monitor product performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Understanding of requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.)

Basic Qualification (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 1+ years of experience in systems, mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering
• 1+ years of experience with design, integration, and test of electrical systems

Preferred Qualification: (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments
• Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events
• Experience working on Missile Defense programs with avionics hardware and software is desirable.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
