General Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to creating accurate electrical drawings that are released on time to support the production schedule.

Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

A two year college degree or vocational school certificate in drafting is required.

Experience:

Minimum of1 years of experience in electrical power and control design is required. Associates Degree in Engineering or CAD preferred or equivalent drafting experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Proficient in using Auto CAD 2D software. Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work in multi-task environment with fast track projects. Demonstrate ability to work with a team effectively. Excellent understanding of drafting standards and conventions. Must be proficient in the use of the National Electric Code and knowledgeable in industrial electrical power and control systems. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced production environment.

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret one-line and schematic electrical diagrams.
• Create wiring diagrams in AutoCAD depicting the integration of industrial electrical equipment.
• Create pull/termination tables using Microsoft EXCEL, from equipment schematics.
• Create wiring diagrams for use by manufacturing department.

Work Environment:

Air conditioned office.

Physical Demands:

Majority of time is spent sitting. Lifting: Light, Reaching: Light, Stooping/Kneeling: Moderate and Climbing: Light.
