About LPS Projects Group

The Lifecycle Performance Services division was started in 2018 to serve our customer's needs throughout their facility's lifecycle. We provide warranty, maintenance, system assessment, tech support, spare parts, and retrofit services to a wide range of companies in the logistics and warehouse distribution/fulfillment industries.

The LPS Projects Group focuses on system optimization, additions, retrofits, and upgrades to our customer's conveyor systems. We specialize in a wide range of equipment types such as automated sorters, singulators, gappers, extendable conveyors, and transport conveyors. Our projects range in size from small equipment swap outs to complete subsystem installs.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Design Engineer is part of an Electrical Projects team, responsible for the successful and on time completion of conveyor upgrade and system integration projects. They work closely with Electrical Project Engineers to develop the schematics and material bills required for each project's custom design constraints.

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of all tasks related to electrical design and schematic drafting of a project. These include power distribution, control schematics, hardware selection, panel layout, field wiring schematics, pipe and wire sizing, on-site system auditing, and overall adherence to customer and governing agency specifications. The Electrical Design Engineer will, in most cases, be assigned within a team of designers and engineering to support collaboratively in these efforts.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Produce and modify electrical drawings for various equipment and customers.
  • Research / review customer specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Research / review available as-built drawings.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a cohesive project design.
  • Prepare prints when required.
  • Make drawing corrections / revisions as needed to meet the project requirements.
  • Report drawing status to the Project Engineer as required maintaining the project schedule.
  • Prepare drawings for submittals internally and to the customer.
  • Improve professional and technical knowledge by attending training as required by MHS management.
  • Prepare as-built drawing as needed to meet the project requirements.
  • Prepare electrical Bills of Materials as needed in accordance with designs.
  • Contribute by accomplishing various miscellaneous tasks as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates Degree or higher in Computer Drafting and Design or similar technical program. Equivalent work experience will also be considered as a substitute for education.
  • Zero to 3 years' experience in electrical design.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reports to work on-time and in compliance with company attendance policy.
  • Desire to work with automated processes which standardize workflow, minimize redundancy, and improve throughput.


SKILLS:
  • AutoCAD Electrical (AutoCAD with Specialized Toolsets)
  • MS Excel​
