Description

SAIC has a potential opportunity for an Electrical Engineer ­­to support the U.S. Army Military Ground Vehicle Systems.  The work will be located in Warren, MI.

This position is contingent upon contract award with an anticipated start date November 2022.

SAIC designs and integrates power systems and components onto multiple rugged military vehicle platforms. We are seeking an analog or mixed-signal engineer to support our vehicle power design, test and integration activities. SAIC designs and integrates products for a wide range of applications. Military ground vehicle applications comprise a large portion of the designs. SAIC engineers are integrally involved in every aspect of the product lifecycle, to include development, integration, test, qualification, production and sustainment.

As an Electrical Engineer your duties will include:

• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
• Provide schedule input for design assignments.
• Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services.
• Perform initial and ongoing design reviews.
• Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors.
• Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies.
• Produce schematics and review designs from team members for accuracy. 
   

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university. A Master's degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience. 

Required Skills:

• A minimum total of 5 years' experience in electrical/electronic system analysis, development, or testing including: A minimum of 3 years' experience in development, integration or test of ground vehicle electrical/electronic systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed to handle multiple task/projects and to work independently.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are also required to work well with all levels of staff and managers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Can start work with Interim Secret Clearance
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
