Position Overview

The Electrician is directly responsible for conducting, as assigned, all aspects of electrical maintenance, repairs, capital and construction work throughout the plant in a safe an environmentally sound manner.

We have an immediate opening for an individual experienced with Allen Bradley PLC & PC Controls, Coordinated DC drive systems, and AC & DC motors up to 400HP.

The preferred candidate will have to be fully committed to engaging in safe working practices, driven to learn new processes and procedures, and have the ability to work as part of a team to achieve safety, quality and performance goals.

After successful completion of a 120-day probationary perod, employees are represented by the IUE-CWA Local 716. This position works rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. The hourly wage for and Electrician is $30.14 plus shift premium and overtime rates, as applicable. Noveis offers excellent benefits, working conditions and potential for career growth. Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct electrical maintenance activities on all equipment and buildings
  • Maintain the integrity of control systems across the plant
  • Assist in design and installation of capital equipment, and assist in construction activities
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as may be outlined in work orders or other directives
  • Assist mechanics in preventative maintenance and construction activities as required
  • Provide storeroom support as may be required
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement teams, Behavior Based Safety Programs, audits and other activities
  • Conduct SPC activities as directed
  • Maintain electrical workshop area in a clean, safe, and environmentally sound condition
  • Assist in operattions support of the coating line on an as-needed basis
  • Use overhead cranes, forklift trucks, hand trucks, and other powered mobile equipment
  • Transport tools, equipment and material to job as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a minimum 5 years proven expereince in industrial electrical maintenance
  • Journeyman card, Associate degree, completion of a certification program, or equivalent training is required
  • Demonstrated experience in trboule-shooting is required
Location Profile

Novelis' Warren facility is located in northeast Ohio- approximately an hour drive from Cleveland and an hour and a half from Pittsburgh. The facility built in 1965 applies coating to rolled aluminum beverage can sheet. The sheet is used to make aluminum beverage can lids for global soft drink beer and sparkling water brands. Warren showcases several high-end cultural venues including the Warren Community Amphitheater and Packard Music Hall.
