The Email Production Manager is responsible for assisting in the execution of short- and long-term email marketing campaigns. Under direction of the Sr. Email Marketing Manager, this role leads the day to day operations for our email efforts. This position has a key impact on Store and eCommerce sales and traffic, driving the overall effectiveness of all email marketing programs. This position sits within the Marketing department and will interact with analytics, creative, promotions, merchandising, marketing, eCommerce, as well as 3rd party vendors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of production of email campaigns from start to end including creative trafficking, implementation, deployment, optimization, monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Own the email marketing calendar execution, testing and operational details, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  • Manage promotional campaign segmentation and targeting operations including maintaining the weekly campaign targeting document, building Campaign Request Forms and ensuring post-launch tracking accuracy
  • Work closely with merchandising teams acting as a liaison for Marketing
  • Manage the creative development process including gathering all inputs, brief writing, partnering with creative on process, giving feedback, and proofing.
  • Optimize existing campaigns with ongoing tests of customer segmentation, subject lines, time of send, content, landing pages, etc
  • Translate customer insights into recommendations for cross functional partners
  • Leverage email best practices and testing results to improve the impact of email campaigns.
  • Partner with Customer Service to resolve email specific issues
  • Communicate email marketing plans to various teams
  • Manage email reporting and keep dashboards up to date verifying accuracy of all data prior to distribution
  • QA email and verify email audience counts
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years email marketing experience, preferably working in retail
  • The candidate must:
    • Be highly detail oriented and strives for flawless execution
    • Have solid project management skills
    • Be extremely reactive and resourceful
    • Have excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and external teams
    • Be curious with a desire to continuously learn and expand knowledge
    • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-oriented work environment
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, customer databases, A/B testing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
  • Experience with Responsys Interact or other ESPs a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
