Overview:

The Embroidery Manager will oversee a team of operators, ensuring the quality and quantity of work meet our standards. Key responsibilities include supervision, quality control, production management, equipment maintenance, inventory management, training, safety compliance, and reporting. The Embroidery Manager should possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with proficiency in embroidery techniques and equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Manage and lead a team of embroidery, twill, and heat press operators. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all embroidered products meet our standards for accuracy, consistency, and durability. Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify any defects or issues.
  • Production Management: Plan and organize production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensures proper operation of embroidery, twill, and heat press equipment. Schedule regular maintenance checks and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency. Coordinates with facility maintenance team as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of materials including twill, supplies, and finished products. Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to support production needs.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for operators to enhance their skills and knowledge of embroidery techniques and equipment operation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures in the embroidery area. Promote a safe working environment and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track production metrics, including output volumes, quality performance, and efficiency measures. Generate regular reports for management review and analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a production environment required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to meet production deadlines
  • No certifications needed
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch.
