We are currently seeking an Emergency Management Consultant - Response. This is a contract position that will require you to work onsite in support of current and future response operations. Current potential deployment locations include New York City and San Diego, California but additional deployment locations may become available. Travel may be authorized for those not currently local to the client location.
In this role, the Emergency Management Consultant ' Response will:

• Serve in a variety of Incident Command System (ICS) roles based on skills and experience.
• Work in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Incident Management Team (IMT), or field environment based on the needs of the project.
• Coordinate with a team of emergency management professionals to develop and implement mission objectives.
• Utilize effective written and verbal communications skills to develop products to include situation reports, plans, policies, and procedures.
• Work with a team to mobilize and track resources in support of logistics operations.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and effectively capture key points and next steps.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to find solutions to operational challenges.
• Other activities as directed by the client or project management team.

Candidates for the Emergency Management Consultant ' Response must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Two (2) or more years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology and comfort with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
• Willingness to be on-site working with a client for more than a month, and work shifts up to 12 hours as needed based on the client's operational tempo.

Candidates for the Emergency Management Consultant ' Response may also have the following qualifications:

• Past mobilizations and deployments responding to large-scale disasters.
• Formal certifications specific to emergency management, such as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation.
• Team management skills, including delegating work and following up on tasks and objectives.
• A management consulting or project management background.
