VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is growing its Emergency & Critical Care Service and seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Swing/ 2nd shift Team.

Our Emergency and Critical Care Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical case, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day. '
Snapshot of the Role:
- Triage
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Assist with all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge, including departmental rounds
- Monitoring hospitalized patients, treatments and nursing care
- Communicate with clients
- Physical examinations and patient assessments
- Venipuncture/IVC placement, cystocentesis, urinary catheter placement and NG tube placement.
- Anesthesia and sedation procedures
- Blood transfusion therapy including collection, administration, and transfusion reactions

Compensation:
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Shift Differential: We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe:
Eligible hours are 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, shift differential is $3.00/hr.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity, swing/ 2nd shift. We utilize a 3 x 12 hour work week.
Requirements: 2+ years experience as a Veterinary Technician or internship trained.
