Responsibilities:
1. Assist with design and implementation new products
2. Design fixtures/ tools for welding, assembly, and machine areas
3. Assist with preventative maintenance procedures
4. Participate and Lead Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events (1 week long event to improve processes)
5. Recognize and help with problem solving efforts in the plant
6. Create methods for standard work procedures
7. Work with design engineers to reduce costs and help improve quality of product
Education: Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience:
1. Basics of manufacturing processes such as welding, metal cutting and forming, painting and assembly
2. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
3. Experience with 3D CAD or Creo Parametric is a plus
4. Experience in fixture design (part specific tables and tools to help with manufacturing practices)
Skills:
1. Strong analytical and organizational skills
2. Strong leadership skills to lead a team and pull information from others
3. Problem solving skills
4. Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Pro-Engineer
5. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
6. Ability to take on multiple responsibilities/ projects at once
7. Prioritize based on due dates or importance of projects
