Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Security Architect role at Lamb Weston develops and maintains systems and information processes to support enterprise security architecture requirements as a fundamental building block of our technology footprint. This includes the responsibility for planning and implementing new security systems, facilitating the development of security standards, policies and procedures, and the inclusion of existing security standards and best practices in the solution architecture of new projects. The Security Architect chairs the Security Technology Review Board and with that team recommends the security technical direction and makes technical product recommendations to the Lamb Weston Architecture Review Board (ARB) for inclusion into the Lamb Weston technology stack/roadmap; based on cost/benefit analysis, technical capabilities, and best fit according the Lamb Weston business and IT strategy and architectural direction. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace, build consensus across operating teams and actively engage in the solution development process. This role requires close working relationships with extended business team, infrastructure and application operating teams, the Director of Security Operations, the extend Enterprise Architecture team, and the Project Management Office.

Job Description

  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates
  • Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; developing solution blue prints for equipment and software installation and calibration; recommending preventive and reactive measures; providing technical support and mentorship; completing and reviewing documentation
  • Verifies security systems and adherence to current standards by developing and implementing test scripts
  • Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and developing remediation or improvement plans based on the analysis performed.
  • Plans security system roadmaps by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; Identity Access Management solutions (IAM): adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Design and evaluate solutions across the Security domain against client requirements including performance, availability, integrity, and total cost of ownership.
  • Facilitates the resolution of systemic security failures in our operating environment, by following standard ITIL problem resolution efforts.
  • Research new technology, reflect on market direction, and recommend new services and solution offerings.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Information Security, Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience in IT audit information security or related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of work experience architecting, designing and developing large scale security solutions utilizing a mixture of hardware and software technologies
  • Certifications, 2 or more of the following: CEH, NACE, ACSE, CISSP, GFCA, GPEN, GCFE, GREM, GNFA, GASF, GCIH, GCED
  • Diversity of experiences within security including governance, network security, forensics, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Working knowledge of Data Security Best Practices at Rest, in Transit and in Use.
  • Expert level experience with encryption technologies and techniques
  • Familiar with AWS and other cloud security best practices
  • PowerShell or other scripting languages for automating discovery processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - experience in Audit/Compliance discussions
  • Strongly preferred skill set/background in Manufacturing organizations
  • Ability for 25% travel
