Our Mid-Con regional business is looking for an Entry Level Project Coordinator to join their team in Houston, TX and/or Baton Rouge, LA. In this position, you will be in charge of assisting and working closely with our Project Managers (PM's) in organizing our ongoing projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and budget, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with clients and internal teams to help PM's deliver results on deadlines.

Ultimately, the Project Coordinator's duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Support PM's in maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. (i.e., Actions Item List, Meeting Minutes, etc...)
  • Help PM's preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Review project schedule and alert PM's for upcoming deadlines.
  • Help document project changes.
  • Providing any administrative support as needed.
  • Help ensuring projects adhere to company frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Help document project risks and issues.
  • Help PM's facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Work with Project Control (PC) team to create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Support PM's setting up projects and preparing proposals, cost estimates and schedules.
  • Help PM's and PC's to coordinate, setup and manage subcontractors and vendors
  • Coordinate with document control team.
  • Demonstrate willingness to support a team to meet deliverables and exhibit problem solving skills.
Successful skills & qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area (mechanical, civil, etc.) or related field of study.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the task involved.
  • Minimal travel when required for client meetings
  • Maintain a high level of safety
