Job Description

Position Summary

Perform investigations, conduct research and evaluate data for the purpose of meeting environmental regulatory requirements. Utilizing knowledge of various scientific disciplines to collect, synthesize, study, report, and take action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, soil, water, and other sources. Will be expected to take ownership of company health and safety program. Expected to be self-motivated and work independently.

Willing to travel and work outside under adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

Prepare documents or portions of documents under supervision. Participate in investigations and on-going monitoring for various studies. Conduct specific investigations and assignments.

Collect field data, record field notes and observations.

Prepare reports including graphs, charts and aerial photographs.

Knowledge, understanding and application of the company health and safety systems. Preparation of health and safety plans.

Travel and outside work in all conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in engineering, environmental science, geology, or science-related field.

0 to 3 years experience.

Strong technical writing skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet applications. Sound judgement and decisiveness.

Self-starter and able to work independently. Ability to handle challenges.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
