GHD's Northeast Environment Business has an opening for an Environmental Project Manager to join the team in our new Burlington, MA office! In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through site conceptual model development, technical and regulatory strategy development, project management, business development, and staff development/mentoring

This role will include management and coordination of remedial investigation and remedial action projects throughout the Northeast including Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Project management and leadership of various environmental projects including maintenance of project scope, schedule, budget and quality through the coordination of project teams and via direct client communication
  • Participate in and lead project teams in the planning, design, and execution environmental compliance, assessment, and remedial programs
  • Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their environmental liabilities and concerns
  • Identify and support business development, client expansion and proposal development activities for the Northeast's Environmental business
  • Preparing technical proposals
  • Maintain membership and participation in Massachusetts/Connecticut and/or national environmental industry groups and associations
  • Mentor and provide leadership to a small group of entry-level and junior environmental professionals
  • Act as office manager for our suburban Boston office
Successful skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related technical field
  • Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP); PE, PG, or LEP licensure considered a plus
  • 10-20 years of environmental project experience including the coordination and management of projects consisting of site investigation, remediation and monitoring and general environmental compliance
  • Experience in client relationship development/management and business development with strong client relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
  • Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
