Equipment Operator/Utility Person at our Miramar Aggregates location
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Equipment Operator will operate a front end loader and will perform plant clean up and maintenance as needed.
JOB DUTIES:
- Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations
- Report unsafe conditions
- Report accidents or incidents immediately
- Operate Front End Loader to move material in the yard and to load customer trucks
- Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time
- Perform a daily walk-around inspection and fill out inspection form
- Recognize contaminated material and report unusual conditions to supervisor
- Load a variety of materials to meet legal load limits
- Work in all areas of the plant as needed
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of heavy equipment operating experience required
- Experience working at an aggregates plant highly preferred
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
