This Estimator is responsible for providing sales quotations to customers. Assists the Product Managers in planning, directing and implementing sales activities focused on growing revenue and profit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate quotations (sales information) to support the business both internally and externally
• Provide sales quotations to customers for belted drives, castings, and couplings
• Analyze specifications, including scope documents, drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and historical data and calculate project costs using labor and material pricing schedules
• Develop and maintain the product database with product specifications, cost estimate, pricing and other relevant information
• Support the development and implementation of product promotion strategies
• Support distributor initiatives
• Track and monitor customer sales trends and escalate data to the applicable Product Manager
• Other daily product management duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Critical Competencies

• Knowledge of belted drives, castings, and couplings product lines
• Critical thinking skills (define problem, collect data, make fact-based decisions)
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-facing presentations and communications
• Ability to work independently, in addition to supporting team-based assignments

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or marketing with 2+ years' related experience; will consider Associate's degree with 4+ years' experience
• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment desired
• Practical mechanical knowledge and ability desired
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical manuals and drawings
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

Work environment includes occasional exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels and dust particles. The incumbent will spend time occasionally in the direct production environment. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during times on the production floor.

Physical requirements include sitting for long periods of time, and occasional walking, climbing, or moving around working equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
