Job Description:

We are searching for an Executive of National and Hazard Science with expertise and passion around understanding and assessing natural hazard in the housing industry to advance CoreLogic's position as a leading provider of gold standard data, analytics and platforms, enabling real estate professionals, financial institutions, insurance carriers, government agencies and other housing market participants to help people make their dream of homeownership a reality. This role will be a leader on the Chief Data & Analytics Officer's senior team, playing an integral leadership role in creating new AI/ ML models on cross-discipline assets and build analytic solutions with unique proprietary data assets. This role leads a team responsible for the management, development and deployment of predictive or statistical models for our partners and clients around the world. The solutions this function delivers uniquely enrich our data with insightful intelligence, which allows us to deliver comprehensive information to participants across the global housing economy through our integrated digital solutions. This role plays an integral role in helping our clients reduce their risk-related losses and optimize their revenues through advanced analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Natural and Hazard scientists to design, develop and deploy a suite of natural hazard forensic models
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to provide business solutions. Works with clients to define and understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Serve as analytical and technological thought leader, providing leadership and strategy for our scientific modeling teams to provide best-in-class risk management solutions
  • Spearhead science-backed innovation for the Company
  • Provide thought leadership and industry expertise assessing and understanding natural hazard risk in the housing and
  • Innovate and incubate new core science-based capabilities including AI/ ML, Computer Vision
  • Partner with product leaders to build analytic solutions with unique proprietary data assets that enrich our data with insightful intelligence
  • Expand our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities and platforms focused on driving new analytic solutions to the market.
  • Partner with clients and industry experts to serve as a thought leader in property data and housing , contributing back to the research community through academic publications
  • Provide leadership with predictive modeling, clustering, forecasting models, deep learning and other advanced statistical techniques to solve problems.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master's or higher in machine learning, a hard science, math, statistics, an engineering field. PhD preferred.
  • Viewed as an expert within the US residential insurance industry with 10+ years of experience at reputable companies in that space preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics preferred
  • Experience leading and inspiring high-performing and innovative teams
  • Fluent in multiple analytic development tools, statistical tools, and programming languages, such as Python, R, Java, Scala, Perl, etc.
  • Experience building models in Google Cloud Platform
  • Must have big data expertise, such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of statistics, data science and machine learning with a strong understanding of the behavior of residential real estate markets.
  • Proven track record of translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience with Advanced Analytics, Software-driven Automation and Data Engineering with programming skills to retrieve, analyze and process data, and build machine learning models from the ground up
  • Strong people leadership experience including talent selection, engagement, growth, and retention
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High P&L acumen with proven appreciation for meeting financial commitments and delivering on time, on budget high value solutions.
  • High level of accountability takes ownership of problems and sees them through to resolution; high energy thrives in fast-paced, high-rate-of-change setting; ability to balance competing priorities in a very dynamic/fast paced environment
  • Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills

Annual Pay Range:
211,500 - 285,000 USD
