VCA Raleigh Hills Animal Hospital located in Portland Oregon is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their 4-Doctor Practice!

We are looking for experienced (2 year minimum) or Certified Veterinary Assistants to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assist in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4 10-hour shifts. Wednesday-Saturday, Closed Sundays.

Compensation: Starting at $19 - 22 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

As a member of the VCA Raleigh Hills team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent-by delivering an outstanding client experience-so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

  • Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
  • Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
  • Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
  • Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
  • Maintaining medical records.
  • Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
