JOB SUMMARY:

A Facilities Technician maintains the facilities and grounds for New Jersey Dealerships and Corporate Office so they are safe and attractive to employees and visitors.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Completes all routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, furniture and furniture systems. Coordinates facilities work and inspections with contractors and/or appropriate local authorities. Inspects interior and exterior of facilities to identify potential problems and take corrective action. Completes general maintenance tasks at the dealership. This included but is not limited to relamping lighting fixtures, power washing, minor plumbing repairs, minor door repairs, etc. Orders building maintenance supplies. Attend/complete required training (including on-line) and department meetings Regular and predictable attendance

EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED:

• Must have a strong mechanical background and have an intermediate knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, as well as carpentry.
• Must be knowledgeable of fire safety and security systems, OSHA and ADA regulations and have the ability to identify unsafe facility conditions is required.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be knowledgeable in the operation of maintenance vehicles and lifts.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management and vendors.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities, projects and tasks.
• Must have basic knowledge of Cherwell, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• A minimum of five years of experience in facilities management is required.
