Ardurra is seeking a Field Representative/Associate to join our Land Development Practice in Tampa, Florida.

Primary Function

Generally have experienced with site infrastructure projects, observing contractor's construction activities, and reviewing work for compliance with drawings and specifications.

Primary Duties

  • Responsibilities will include observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor's installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results preparing record drawings, and serving as liaison between engineer and contractor.
  • Typical projects involve the construction of water and wastewater utilities and master infrastructure using various construction methods, construction of water and wastewater treatment structures and equipment installation, as well as mechanical and structural rehabilitations for residential subdivision and commercial projects.
  • Qualified candidates may work on one or more projects simultaneously, located in the Tampa Bay area.
  • The work will be 50% out in the field and 50% in the office.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Civil Engineering related coursework/certifications; Associates degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services.
  • Experience with CAD.
  • Background in Florida Building Code structural and/or plumbing inspections preferred.
  • Background in structural, mechanical, and piping construction required.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, and standard construction details are critical requirements of the position.
  • Familiarization with local municipalities and their respective site development construction observation and construction completion certification requirements; local municipalities within Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee and Pasco Counties.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
