As a(n) < Accountant 3>you will:

Role/Title - Accountant
Location - Trenton NJ 08619
Duration - 9 months

Note:
• Self-starter, communicative and be able think on their feet and outside the box
• Be willing to work in a manufacturing fast paced environment
• Team oriented as well as independent worker.
• Been thru a typical Month end close (J/Es, account rec and variance analysis). Lots of transactions.
• Looking to develop in their role.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in month end closing procedures including, but not limited to, accurate and timely completion and posting of closing entries and month end reports
• Monitor and report financial performance, analyze and interpret operating results, investigate variances and unusual items
• Complete daily GL maintenance tasks timely and accurately
• Monitor accounts payable and goods received not invoiced
• Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management in order to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities
• Ensure that accounting practices follow all relevant accounting standards, and company values and practices
• Perform the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry postings
• Work product costs and support ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance, cash flow, working capital optimization, investments and productivity, and financial ratios
• Review and validate reported productivity to ensure accuracy and connectivity with financial results
• Develop, maintain, and review metrics and tracking systems for facility overhead and major cost drivers
• Help drive the annual planning process
• Assist in annual physical inventory process and related reconciliation
• Own with compliance function and coordination of Sarbox requirements, including pro-active identification of process gaps
• Drive accounting standard work and operational excellence methodologies. Coordinate system improvements / automation to better standardize processes.

• Must be proficient in the use of standard software programs
• High degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability required
