Position Summary

ITT Inc. is looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The primary responsibility of this position is to support General Ledger, Fixed Asset, and Capital and Expense Projects. This position will also be responsible for assisting department defined projects from conception through implementation. Assists in the development and maintenance of standard user practices, policies and procedures that ensure practical and efficient business operations. Responsible for supporting the Shared Services team with delivery of services for all units served, which includes the daily functions of system maintenance, security, data integrity, enhancements and continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide support of Fixed Asset and Project Accounting ensuring monthly financials are timely and accurate.
  • Support Fixed Asset Accountant on daily responsibilities.
  • Support conversion projects to rollout SAP to business units.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project sponsors, key systems users and all IS personnel.
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers during all project phases.
  • Understands the customer's organizational structure and their business systems process flows.
  • Recommends projects to IT management and users.
  • Assist with reviewing business systems documentation and assures it is complete, acceptable and in accordance with standards.
  • Utilization of flowcharts, block diagrams, charts, and layouts for solutions to business problems.
  • Provides Project Support through the project's life cycle; from conception to implementation and training.
  • Conducts training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of project work plans and task sequencing for all aspects of project work to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Assists with developing project time schedules; and the development of conversion and test procedures for all aspects of system implementation, from manual handling through computer processing.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of regular project status reports to customer and management.
  • When required, assists Team Members in completing project tasks, in an effort to keep the project on schedule.
Position Requirements

Education
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
Experience
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience with strong orientation towards process and continuous improvement.
Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Excellent skills in corporate accounting, analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to make finance concepts and information understandable and useful to business and functional partners.
  • Strong understanding and aptitude with computer systems including Excel, SAP and PRMS/AS400.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Enthusiastic team player and self-starter.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
