Finance Business Systems Analyst

Work Remotely from Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah

Primary Job Purpose

The Finance Business Systems Analyst works with various business customers to understand, document and design business and technical solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity. Provides support to the business community by maintaining and enhancing systems through collaborating with Cambia Information Technology division (DTS), as needed. Responsible for gathering business requirements and creating documentation of system configuration, data flow, and business process changes. Works closely with both DTS and the business contacts to test and implement the solution.

General Functions and Outcomes

  • Accountable for functional system design and system configuration.
  • Translates business needs into requirements and prepares appropriate documentation.
  • Develops functional documentation for projects and system enhancements.
  • Reviews and approves high-level data flows, functional and technical specifications and system implementation staging documentation
  • Configures and builds systems to meet business requirements as part of System Development Life Cycle.
  • Writes and executes ad-hoc reports and develops data extracts.
  • Documents test expectations and outcomes at a level of detail that allows research and analysis.
  • Performs regression testing of fixes, enhancements, and system upgrades.
  • Coordinates testing activities with all appropriately assigned staff.
  • Conducts unit testing of configuration.
  • Performs post implementation quality assurance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Assists, when appropriate, in the training and communication of system changes for end-users and other impacted staff.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding system functionality, modification, and status of issue resolution in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.
  • Reviews and coordinates any security requests for the system.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and resolves sustainment issues associated with system and/or processes.
  • Monitors and implements continuous process and system improvements.
  • Develops SQL scripts that move data or update data in a manner that replicates online functionality.
  • Develops and implements prudent approach, Data Migration and backs up plans for any given update.
  • Understands various I/T technical design documentation, such as data flow diagrams and entity relationship models, for the purposes of review and evaluation of application design.
  • Schedules, organizes, and prioritizes work to ensure timely completion of all work simultaneously assigned or in progress.
  • Takes the initiative to introduce oneself to new technology and methodology available.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field. Bachelor's degree may be substituted by sufficient years of experience in the health care industry.
  • Three years experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design or configuration and/or acceptance testing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, good communication, a customer service orientation, tolerance for ambiguity, and demonstrated analytical skills.

Work Environment
  • Weekend and late evening work are frequently necessary, particularly during project implementation.
  • Works both in a team environment and independently, under the direction and coaching of senior team members to meet the needs of the business customer.

The base pay annual salary range for this job is $62,500.00 to $102,500.00
